There’s more than one way to enjoy disc golf. Some days, you want a round at a familiar course. Other days, you want a little competition, a different format, or a reason to get out and play when the weather isn’t cooperating.
KPLeagues brings those opportunities together through disc golf leagues, putting events, and tournaments around St. Paul, Minneapolis, and the surrounding Twin Cities communities.
Whether you’re curious about your first organized round or looking for another event to add to your week, this is a place to find your next game.
More Ways to Play
Disc golf doesn’t have to look the same every time you pick up a disc.
Our event calendar includes outdoor rounds, cali, doubles, putting, and glow events. Courses, layouts, and formats vary, giving you different ways to fit disc golf into your schedule.
You’ll find familiar names like Kaposia Tuesday Cali and Friday Shorts alongside putting events such as Forgotten Pars and Modist Putting. Outdoor rounds and putting nights give the calendar different rhythms throughout the year, including opportunities to keep playing during the colder months.
We also host tournaments, with experiences ranging from themed events to sanctioned competition. Each has its own format and details, so there’s good reason to explore beyond the next date on the calendar.
Indoor disc golf is part of the mix, too. Events such as Modist Putting bring players together indoors for putting competition and another way to stay connected to the game during the colder months.
For glow disc golf, The Derelict League is Minnesota’s premier glow league—another way to get out, play, and connect with other disc golfers after dark.

What Is a Flex League?
A Flex League lets you choose when to play within the event’s posted playing window, instead of requiring everyone to start together. You can arrange a morning round, an afternoon outing, or another time that works for your group within that window.
Your card needs at least three registered league players, and everyone must register and pay before playing. Bring your own group or connect with other players to put a card together.
Don’t have cardmates lined up? That’s where meetups and the KPLeagues Facebook group come in.
What Is a Meetup?
A meetup is a scheduled time for players to meet at the course and connect with others playing the league. It gives you a time to aim for when you want to participate but don’t already have a group arranged.
Think of it as a meeting time within a Flex League, not the only time you’re allowed to play. The league still offers the flexibility to play within its posted window. A meetup simply helps bring players together.

Finding People to Play With
Look for “meetups” on the KPLeagues leagues page. Check the event’s course, date, and meetup time, and arrive with enough time to connect with other players before your round.
You can also post in the KPLeagues Facebook group to ask who’s attending, introduce yourself, or arrange a different time. Whether you’re new to the league or just need another player for your card, it’s a place to start coordinating.
You don’t need to already know a regular group to begin making those connections. A meetup gives players a shared starting point, while the Facebook group lets you make plans ahead of time.
Registration Still Matters
Attending a meetup doesn’t replace registering for the league. Everyone on your card still needs to register and pay before playing, and your Flex League card needs at least three registered players.
A listed meetup helps people connect, but it doesn’t guarantee a complete card will be waiting. Coordinating ahead is a good idea, especially if you’re heading out on your own.
Already Have Your Own Group?
You’re welcome to arrange your own card and play at another time within the event’s posted window. Meetups are an option for bringing players together, not a requirement to start with everyone else.
Getting Started With Your First Event
Start by choosing an event and checking its location, format, start time or flex window, entry fee, and registration instructions. Different events have different requirements, so review the details for the one you plan to play.
Our How to Play guide explains registration, divisions, grouping, and submitting your score. Course rounds use UDisc for scoring, while putting events use DGScores. Putting also has different grouping rules from outdoor Flex League rounds.
If you’re unsure about a rule or how to participate, check the guide or contact the listed event director.
More Than a Date on the Calendar
The appeal of a recurring event is that you can come back. Learn a layout, try a different format, follow your results, and make another round part of your week.
That’s the idea behind this blog, too: helping you get to know the events beyond their signup pages.
We’ll explain formats such as putting league, highlight the places we play, and introduce events including Forgotten Pars, Modist Putting, Friday Shorts, and our cali leagues. You’ll get a clearer picture of what each experience involves and how to join in.
