Forgotten Pars Putting League at Forgotten Star Brewing

Bring two putters, meet a few disc golfers, and work your way around a 20-hole putting course. Forgotten Pars brings disc golf putting to Forgotten Star Brewing in Fridley, Minnesota, with short putts, longer challenges, and a format that rewards both makes and near misses.

You do not need to be a member, and there is no season-long commitment. Come once, come every week, or join whenever your schedule allows. Playing in a regular putting night does not require qualifying for the championship.

    Your First Forgotten Pars Night

Spring and fall sessions offer a flexible start window; check the current event listing for start times. Bring two putters, or borrow putters from us. A round usually takes about 30–60 minutes, depending on course congestion.

Play on a card of two to six players. Bring friends or come solo. If you need a group, stop by HQ and the practice basket; we will help you find people to play with.

    How The Putting Course Works

The course has 20 holes, with putts ranging from 5 to 40 feet. At each hole, you throw two putts and record the points you earn. Scoring is on DGScores: DGScores

A make earns two points. A splash—contact with the cage or above that does not count as a make—earns one point. Make both putts at a hole and you receive one bonus point, for five points total.

For example, a make and a splash earn three points. Two splashes earn two points. Two makes earn five points, including the bonus.

If your disc comes to rest touching the basket anywhere from the cage upward, it counts as a make. There is no penalty for contacting a wall or another surface first: if a bounce reaches the basket, you still receive the points earned by the result.

Tees, Jump Putts, And The Sitting Hole

Each tee is marked by one object, such as a cone or flag. Treat it like your mini and place your foot behind it. The official tee area is a rectangle 20 centimeters wide and 30 centimeters deep, centered on the line of play behind the rear edge of the cone or flag.

Jump and step putts are allowed from every Gold tee and from the ace hole. They are not allowed from any other tees. That is a specific rule for this putting course, so check your tee before stepping through a putt.

Many weeks also include a sitting-putt hole. Sit on the designated surface for those putts and see how your putting stroke holds up from a different position.

    Want Another Round?

You can play an additional round. Your additional round competes against other players on their additional round as well, rather than being mixed into the first-round competition.

    Spring Training

Forgotten Pars also offers Spring Training, a shorter session of putting nights without a championship at the end. Come once or join as many weeks as you want. Check the Forgotten Pars event page for the Spring Training schedule.

    The Fall Championship

The fall session ends with the Forgotten Pars Fall Championship. Everyone is invited to play, but advancing to the second round requires qualifying through the fall series. Check the current event schedule for championship details.

To qualify, play in at least three weeks before championship night. Those are three weeks of participation; an additional round on the same night does not replace another week.

The championship has two rounds. After the first round, the qualifying players at the top of the leaderboard advance to round two. Playing three weeks makes you eligible to advance; you still need to earn your place with your first-round finish.

Final payouts go to the second-round players, and each champion receives a trophy. You can still come out and play the first round if you have not qualified to advance.

Whether you are aiming for the championship or just trying putting for the first time, you are welcome at a regular league night. The three-week requirement is for championship advancement, not membership or permission to participate.

The Annual Forgotten Pars Fly Mart

Forgotten Pars also hosts the annual Forgotten Pars Fly Mart during Disc Golf Pro Tour week. It brings disc shopping and putting together at Forgotten Star Brewing for another way to spend time with the disc golf community.

The Fly Mart is a standalone event, without a season-long qualification requirement or a season-ending championship. Check each year’s announcement for the date, vendors, activities, and putting schedule.
